"History never looks like history when you are living through it". John W. Gardner Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to learn about my passion for teaching History. I went to Canyon Crest Academy in Carmel Valley, Go Ravens! Class of 2008. I was part of the first graduating class and I was there day one where we picked school colors and mascot, created the first yearbook and went to class in leaky trailers. I was there all four years and graduated as the First Class. I went straight into college and I attended UC Santa Cruz where I received my B.A. in History and minor in Anthropology. I had a wonderful 4 years at UCSC, GO Banana Slugs! I had amazing professors who genuinely cared about the students and they were there to help us learn, develop our skills and succeed. Some amazing classes I took were; Tokugawa Japan, Memories of WWII in the US and Japan, Mussolini and Fascist Italy, Early Christianity, Modern Irish History, Renaissance to Cold War, France Old Regime and Revolution, Overview of the Universe/Astronomy, Walt Disney class, History of Music, Human Evolution Anthropology, Rise of the Dutch Republic, Cultures of India Anthropology, Motherhood in American Culture, History of Affirmative Action, Intro to Archaeology, Intro to Cultural Anthropology and Intro to Biological Anthropology.
